Every year, the charming little town of Caddo, Oklahoma comes alive with a colourful celebration called the Heritage Day. Locals and tourists alike look forward to this annual event that is brimming with fun filled activities.

Caddo is a name derived from “ka do hada’ cho”, a native Caddo word which means “real chief”. From the Caddo Tribe, this part of Bryan County was established long before Oklahoma became a state. The town traces its history from its earliest settlers who arrived during the 1800s.

As a tribute to its rich, historic culture, the Caddo Community Association (CCA) celebrates the Heritage Day on one Saturday of October. This annual event has been going on for more than 30 years now, and this year, it will be held on October 21, 2017 at #110 Buffalo Street.
