Mexican Restaurants in Durant, OK:
Ceviche specializes in Mexican with plenty of seafood. Their menu is extensive with over 60 options, so you’ll be hard pressed not to find something you love. Striving for freshness, their flour tortillas are made in-house from scratch, and the guacamole is mixed right at your table. Another thing we love about Ceviche is that they take great pride in the presentation of their Food. It always feels like a five-star experience without the five-star price tag.
El Tapatio has a menu full of favorites, and regulars love them for their Mexican plates. The warm tortilla chips are also a hit — dip them in your meal or enjoy five different ways in a plate of nachos. Not surprisingly, they’re also known for more than just their Food. El Tapatio has a full bar and would be happy to serve you up a creative margarita!
Jalapeños is the place to grab a Mexican meal for under $10. Located in East Durant, this underrated restaurant is best known for its large portions and fajita options. The only downside to Jalapeños is having to decide on which fajita you want to order. Not a bad problem to have, in our opinion!
If you haven’t heard of it, Salita’s is the go-to spot for authentic Tex-Mex in Durant. After running the restaurant successfully in Texas, the owners of Salita’s brought their passion back home to Durant. And we’re grateful they did!
The Salita’s menu has all of the Tex-Mex flare you would expect, but their real specialty is their Salita’s Paleta. Paletas are a Mexican popsicle packed with real, fresh fruit. They’re served year-round at Salita’s, and with flavors like mojito and avocado-coconut, it’s no wonder they’ve created a name for themselves.

This little hole-in-the-wall treasure serves up Oaxaca Style Mexican Food. This means you can expect to find big traditional tamales. They even sell the tamales in bulk. I have to say they make for a good breakfast. But one thing you really shouldn’t miss here are the phenomenal street-style tacos.
